Estimator (Manhattan Location)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Receive bid documents and analyze for trade disciplines
  • Review construction design drawings & specifications
  • Solicit subcontractor proposals
  • Perform in house take off and price job
  • Create detailed cost estimate based on project scope
  • Compare estimate with subcontractor proposals and reconcile differences
  • Optimize job costs by negotiating prices with vendors/sub-contractors through quotations for material/services
  • Prepare formal proposal per bid instructions
  • Attend site visits as a representative of the company as needed

Requirements:

  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to effectively work with everyone from project managers to office staff to sub-contractors.
  • Ability to read a full set of construction drawings
  • Strong computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be able to create conceptual budgets off very little documentation
  • Must be able to price both union and non-union work

Assistant Project Manager (Manhattan Location)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Project Coordination & Controls
  • Contract Administration
  • Set up and maintain project folders (paper and electronic)\ Preparation of Purchase Orders, Change Orders, Transmittals, Submittals and any other documentation required
  • Obtain and coordinate shop drawings from subcontractors
  • Submit and log RFIs
  • Punch-List Management
  • Prepare closeout documentation
  • Maintain schedule and budget
  • Coordinate subcontractors

Assistant Superintendent (Manhattan Location)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working with the PM and Superintendent in managing the site activities including operations, labor, materials, project planning and execution
  • Reading and understand plans, scopes, budgets
  • Providing Management with regards to site safety and building code compliance
  • Partnering with the Project Manager to ensure the project are scheduled on-time and budget

Requirements:

  • Must be able to read and understand project plans and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to effectively work with everyone from project managers to office staff to sub-contractors.
  • Must be flexible, well organized, detail oriented and be able to multi-task

Bookkeeper (Manhattan Location)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Obtaining certificates of insurance for company for our clients
  • Obtaining certificates of insurance from all the sub-contractors
  • Work with various audits by insurance companies, workers comp, taxes, accountants, etc.
  • Assist in answering multiple phones and direct all incoming calls to appropriate party, promptly and efficiently while assisting potential and current customers on the phone
  • Managing employee health insurance, Flexible spending plans, company time sheets and company expenses
  • Creating purchase orders for subcontractors
  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Filing and document control
  • Receiving and distributing communications
  • Customer support
  • Documentation control and tracking: proposals, purchase orders, change orders, correspondence, transmittals, meeting minutes, etc.
  • General office duties
  • Maintaining and updating company data base

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Must be able to anticipate the work flow and plan accordingly
  • Fluent in Quick books, job costing, payroll costing, and allocation of field time to jobs costs.
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner
