At Marymount Manhattan College, outdated classrooms were impeding the full potential of its theater and dance programs. B&B Contracting Group, LLC partnered with Lori Kupfer Architects and Gorton Partners & Associates to renovate classrooms for the fall term. Standard classrooms became larger dance studios with special sprung floors; soundproof walls and doors; and HVAC upgrades. Other classrooms were transformed with theater quality light support systems, special lighting, and new subpanels with risers back to distribution panels. We provided dedicated HVAC to this area to handle the greater heat load of the enhanced lighting. As construction commenced, B&B Contracting Group, LLC discovered previously installed inferior Electrical and Life Safety systems and the project scope expanded significantly. We collaborated with the entire team to design, build and implement an economical solution. All work was completed on schedule.
